Here’s a detailed breakdown of our journey through infertility

September 2010: Stop BCPs

December 2010: Decide to start trying

February 2011: Start using OPKs, never get a positive

March 2011: Tony deploys

July 2011: 1 year  wedding anniversary. Tony returns from deployment, start temping, still no positive OPKs. Temps indicate anovulation. Cycles vary from 28-40+ days.

November 2011: Talk to GYN about getting referral to RE.

February 2012: First appointment with RE. Bloodwork is normal, Tony’s SA is normal. Dx “unexplained anovulation”.

March 2012: HSG – Normal. Tony deploys again.

August 2012: Tony returns. Start 100mg Clomid. By CD18, no follicles bigger than 14mm. Anov cycle. PIO shot to induce period.

September 2012: 100mg Clomid + Gonal-F w/ TI. BFN.

October 2012: 100mg Clomid + Gonal-F w/ TI. BFN.

November 2012: Cyst, cycle canceled.

December 2012: PIO shot to induce period.

January 2013: 100mg Clomid + Gonal-F w/ IUI. 2 mature follicles. 8 million total motile sperm post-wash. (This was a surprise, his motility was very low. I think it had to do with how he was transporting his sample to the lab.)  BFP!!!

Beta #1 @ 13DPO: 41

Beta #2 @ 15DPO: 84

Beta #3 @ 22DPO: 1,985

February 2013: U/S @ 6w3d, singleton pregnancy, HB 103

July 2013: Diagnosed with preeclampsia @ 28 weeks. Modified home bed rest.

August 30, 2013: Indie born via emergency c-section @ 34w6d. 5 pounds 2 oz, 18″.

August 2014: Tony returns from deployment. Start TTC #2.

November 2014: Get new referral to RE.

January 2015: Second RE consult.

February 2015: 5mg Femara + Gonal-F w/ IUI. 1 follicle. 8 million post-wash. BFN.

March 2015: 5mg Femara + Gonal-F w/ IUI. 1 follicle. 27 million post-wash. BFN.

April 2015: Tony traveling, take cycle off.

May 2015: Gonal-F w/ IUI. 3 follicles. 21 million post-wash. BFN.

June 2015: Tony deploys.

July 2015: Saline sono – all clear.

September 2015: Start BCPs (hopefully)

October 2015: Tony returns from deployment. Stims start mid-month. ER end of month. ET late-month/early November.
